This Privacy Policy explains how our application handles information when you use our AI-powered interview coaching and offer letter analysis tools.
Client-Side Architecture
OfferLetter.ai is built on a fully client-side architecture. The application runs entirely in your web browser. We do not operate backend servers that store, process, or retain your personal data. All interactions with AI models happen directly from your browser to the AI provider's API using your own API key.
Information We Do Not Collect
Because of our client-side design, we do not collect, store, or have access to:
- Your offer letter text, salary details, or compensation information
- Your interview questions, answers, or coaching sessions
- Your Anthropic Claude API key
- Your personal information such as name, employer, or job title
- Usage analytics, behavioral data, or session recordings
- IP addresses, device fingerprints, or location data
API Key Storage
When you provide your Anthropic Claude API key, it is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. This key never leaves your device except when your browser sends requests directly to the Anthropic Claude API on your behalf. We cannot access, read, or retrieve your API key at any time. You can delete your stored API key at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage or using the application's settings.
AI API Communication
When you use OfferLetter.ai's analysis or coaching features, the text you input is sent directly from your browser to the Anthropic Claude API using your own API key. This communication occurs over HTTPS encryption. We do not proxy, intercept, log, or store any of these requests or responses. Your data relationship for AI processing is directly between you and Anthropic, subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
Cookies and Tracking
OfferLetter.ai does not use cookies of any kind. We do not deploy session cookies, tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies. We do not use any third-party tracking scripts, pixels, beacons, or analytics services. The only browser storage mechanism we use is localStorage for your API key preference, which is not a cookie and is not transmitted to any server automatically.
Data Retention
We do not retain any user data on servers because we do not collect any. Information stored in your browser's localStorage persists until you clear it manually or clear your browser data. You maintain full control over all data at all times.
Third-Party Services
The application interacts with the following third-party services:
- Anthropic Claude API: AI processing of your text inputs, governed by your direct relationship with Anthropic and their privacy policy.
- Google Fonts: We load the Plus Jakarta Sans typeface from Google Fonts. Google may collect basic connection metadata when serving font files. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Children's Privacy
OfferLetter.ai is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect or process information from children.
Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:
- Right of Access: You may request confirmation of whether we process your personal data. Given our client-side architecture, we do not hold any personal data about you on our servers.

- Right to Data Portability: Any data generated by the application exists only in your browser and is already under your full control.
